The Perfect Wall Display

Christmas is now lost in the dim and distant past and the memories of buying and receiving the perfect gift too.  Except for the Hartley family who, as you can see, are still delighted with theirs!

Ridgefield in the snow

Mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the midday sun.....and a morning blizzard. As you can see, surprisingly I wasn't alone.  Anyone recognise the dog?  And is that bigfoot?

New York in February

Yesterday was a very, very cold day in New York City.  So the shooting time was minimal due to camera batteries dying quickly and even my fingers freezing to the lens.  That will teach me to wipe my nose with my fingers!  Should've used my sleeve.  Lunch at Bubby's of matzo chicken soup and tacos was very welcome.  Some of these shots were taken from the High Line which gives a great vantage point of the City.  This will be part of my New York Holiday Workshop in April.  Why not join me when hopefully it will be a little warmer.  Go to www.philgarlington.com for more information.

Pippa in the park

For many this time of year is cold, dark and miserable.  But to me it's the time when the skies are spectacular and the landscapes become more interesting with the skeletal trees and misty mornings.  This shot was taken one wet and foggy Saturday night a couple of years ago.  I managed to persuade Philippa to indulge my creative urges to take advantage of the fog and we headed to the nearest park where I had noticed the street lamps on a previous occasion.  The shot was lit with the car headlights.  Thank you Philippa for giving up the warmth and the cozy sofa!
