Charlotte
Recently I have had the pleasure of photographing families who's children attend The Hillside School for Children With Autism. From a photographer's point of view, this clearly comes with obvious challenges especially when the children all differ tremendously. But as with all children, it is often best to allow them to do their own thing and express themselves as these pictures of beautiful Charlotte show.

Street Photography in New York City, New York, USA
This picture was taken a few years ago in New York and is close to my heart because it was my first attempt at Street Photography. Interestingly, I wasn't looking to shoot street work which begs the question - Why?
The answer is something I should always consider before I press the shutter. What is the story? I was clearly inspired to take this because there seemed to be something going on, not only outside the shop, but inside that I couldn't see. The image pricks the curiosity of the viewer and holds their attention which is surely the aim of any photograph or photographer.

Portraits of Mum and Dad
It is understandable to want pictures of your children, sometimes even at the expense of pictures of the two of you. This is a mistake. For your children's sakes, this is part of their future memories. Plus, when you can have a shot like this, why wouldn't you?! After all, it's because of you both that your family exists and if only for that reason, should be celebrated.

Montauk Beach, Long Island, New York, USA
Walking on the beach at this time of the year is very bracing! But with strong clouds like these it's hard to resist. It's easy to be distracted by the beauty of the golden sands and rolling waves and easy to ignore the beauty in the sky. But you must remember that at all times it's the biggest thing we can see.

SHOTS IN THE CITY
Here are a handful of shots from my recent visit to New York. It never ceases to amaze me the potential for shots there. You can't beat a bit of 'people fishing'.
