This picture was taken a few years ago in New York and is close to my heart because it was my first attempt at Street Photography. Interestingly, I wasn't looking to shoot street work which begs the question - Why?
The answer is something I should always consider before I press the shutter. What is the story? I was clearly inspired to take this because there seemed to be something going on, not only outside the shop, but inside that I couldn't see. The image pricks the curiosity of the viewer and holds their attention which is surely the aim of any photograph or photographer.
